Chic 20,830
This administration...if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. And even when you laugh, you still cry
papergangster 2,823
Ugh I don’t want to start my payments up again.
CyanLights 15,576
so much for that 10K of relief per person Also, a side note: people who took out loans haven't been paying them for almost 2+ years now. Its almost like the government can cancel them entirely or grant relief (like promised) without the entire economy collapsing
Emvee 8,826
I won’t be voting for the Democratic Party again unless it’s an ACTUAL progressive whose word can be trusted. All that talk about student loans and healthcare and criminal justice during the primaries was all bullshit. They won’t be even do a damn thing about climate change. In fact, the bipartisan bill that recently passed may make emissions WORSE. They won’t do anything about the filibuster. They won’t do anything about gerrymandering. They won’t do anything about the Supreme Court. They won’t do anything about Saudi Arabia’s humans rights violations in Yemen. They won’t do anything about our dependence on oil. They won’t do anything about the cost of healthcare. The list goes on and on. Oh but they all rush to pass a bigger defense budget than was asked for. Who are we at war with? EDIT: make sure you all still vote for progressive candidates who DO NOT take donations from the companies they’re supposed to be regulating.
PhantomOfTheDance 13,795
useless, useless, and useless. he's a joke
VoldeLorde2 8,389
You mean the guy that's been lying his entire presidency didn't keep to his word, and he just said that to ensure more votes? Spoiler Seriously, Biden is a joke. He's more interested in keeping everyone happy that there will be no progress in the long run.
gothicdream 39,655
Disappointed but not surprised. Always doing the most to alienate voters.
HorusRa2 5,005
Interesting, seeing all the responses now that the administration made it very clear what their real objectives were. And yet (maybe not these posters) the argument at the time was for progressives to put up and shut up because orange man bad and Biden would do *some* things even if not to the full extent we wanted. What has he done that remotely measures up to any of that? I'll wait.

Majority of the presidential candidates only say whatever they know will grab them the vote. It's all words, no action.
Morphine Prince 109,653
Midterms will be a bloodbath. It's gonna be hilarious. At this point neoliberal Democrats are so incompetent it's just amusing to witness their self-inflicted demise.
Gagaloo911 12,959
Embarassing and infuriating. Fvck the Democrats I'm so done with corporatists running everything
Bonkers 30,860
the ignorance of people blaming Biden. Change on student debt comes from CONGRESS. AOC, the squad, elizabeth warren and bernie sanders are IN congress and yet none of you blame them for some reason. If you think any one of them being president would give them the magic powers to do better - then you quite simply do not know how government works. You want student loan relief - put it on Biden's desk and he will sign it. What has he done that remotely measures up to any of that? I'll wait. I'm very progressive and I don't regret my vote for Biden, only because 4 more years of Trump was unconscionable and we only had 2 options when it came down to it. Even with nothing changing, I still think it's better than where we'd be under Trump, because I think we'd continue changing for the worse in that case. At least right now we're kind of remaining neutral... With that said, it doesn't make it any less disappointing to see all these campaign promises broken and no meaningful action from him (or congress). It's what I expected, but still disheartening. I understand there are going to be a lot of people who take this administration as a final straw to not vote for Dems and that's scary knowing how well the Republicans mobilize for voting. I really hope the party finally embraces a progressive candidate, but I know it won't happen until the old guard is out. It's very sad.
