Billie Eilish guested on The Howard Stern Show. On the program, she revealed that she had COVID-19 in August. Furthermore, she believes that if she wasn’t vaccinated, she would have “died.”

‘F*ck that sh*t, dude. It was bad. I didn’t die, and I wasn’t gonna die, but that does not take away from how miserable it was. It was terrible. I still have side effects, I was sick for, like, two months almost. This was in August, a couple months ago. […] I want it to be clear that it is because of the vaccine I’m fine. I think if I weren’t vaccinated, I would have, like, died, because it was bad. When I say it was bad, I more just mean that it felt horrible. But really, in the scheme of COVID, it was not bad. You know what I mean? When you’re sick, you feel f*cking horrible. […] The vaccine is f*cking amazing and it also saved Finneas from getting, it saved my parents from getting it, saved my friends from getting it.”

I wasn’t sure about the efficacy of the vaccines because I’m a very “I like to see it work” kind of person, which isn’t always practical

But my father-in-law who always gets sick has been vaccinated for a while and didn’t get it. My mother-in-law, who very rarely gets so much as a fever, was unvaccinated at the time she caught COVID and she lived with him. The virus was horrible on her, but even though he was her caretaker and always near her, he never got the virus. Or, at the very least, it was entirely asymptomatic for him.

My husband and I are vaccinated and neither of us have gotten the virus either.

wow that sucks!! i got it in october but thankfully was only sick for 3 days. the quarantine afterward was so boring cause i had to spend everyday with my husband all day long

I'm just glad to know she's ok now but the side effects are really horrible. If she was sick back in August that was like pretty much around the time her album came out. I can't imagine having to go through this on the release of it. Also, I assume she pre recorded all of the performances and promo she did ? Like I wonder if it affected her voice, especially for the title track omg.

She should really be careful with comorbidities if COVID put her under such a risk (assuming she is not exaggerating the story or trying to make a point, which could be the case). In principle if COVID is life-theatening to you, you don't only need to avoid COVID but you also must treat and fix the associated diseases (asthma, diabetes, cancers etc - weather you are aware of them or not).

Ya, I heard this too with some colleagues who got them. Like the headache you felt was not like the regular headache or migraine. They illustrate it as having their head under one of those hydraulic press machine. It was way more intense and painful. 
 

So glad Billie is recovering now.
