i just thought people would be careful enough by now that they'd know that saying stuff like 'they' in regards to a minority group is generally an inflammatory and harmful tactic. zionism isn't explicitly mentioned anywhere in the original tweet so what you said could be very easily interpreted to being anti-jew instead of anti-zionist.

Haha now you can’t use the word ‘they’. That’s so ott and silly. Before you come at me I’m like 4 types of minority.

man if you respond to a tweet from an anti-semitism watchdog with the word 'they', you're referring to jews, i don't care. it doesn't make someone sensitive to understand how emphasis works. people just need to be damn clearer. i'm not trying to *cancel* the word 'they', just saying people need to be careful about how they speak.

I personally didn't get that from OP, it's very clear who they were referring to - I have never seen anyone be anti-semitic on this forum to begin with.

In regards to Dua, I have to laugh. Pro-Israel organisations and individuals are losing their minds as their facade crumbles on social media. Being pro-Palestine and anti-Israel is not, and never was, anti-semitic. The countless Jewish people and organizations that support Palestine and condemn Israel are living proof of that. It's just a way to incite more division and play victim, which is both pathetic and sad.

You need to be careful about not dogwhistling and calling out racism where none exists. The word “they” is not racist and it’s pretty freaking obvious he wasn’t being racist.

And how you choose to interpret my words is not my problem :bear: It's very clear what this organization is doing and it's very clear that it has a Zionist agenda behind these brainless awards, and it's also very clear that I'm referring to that in particular and not to Jews in general :bear:

I do think Dua however reacted irresponsibly during the Gaza-Israeli conflict earlier this year. She put the focus mostly on the Gazan side whilst there were deaths on both sides and innocent civilians lives were affected to this day. It kinda felt like there was a legitimization of the terrorist group, Hamas, amongst a lot of celebrities. The anti-semitism rates grew in Europe and the US significantly as a result of people associating Israel's actions with the jewish people all over the world.

But Dua was definitely not the only one. And she definitely shouldn't be blamed for being anti-Semitic just because she voiced her opinion against Israel, even if it was arguably one-sided to some people.

It cheapens the real issue which is the factual anti-semitism that is increasing around the world.

It says in the OP that they consider that being pro-Palestine and anti-Israel is anti-semitic, and that the only thing Dua has done was being pro-Palestine. It's very clear where they're coming from.

It’s disgusting. Every empathetic person supports Palestine, let alone Dua Lipa who is a Muslim woman herself

Wasn't Dua only defending people in Palestine? Or did I miss something

Some people equate being anti-Israel occupying and killing people with being anti-jew :yennefer:

Greene definitely deserves her spot here though for comparing mask wearing to Holocaust victims :rip:

LMAOOO how embarrassing. They’re like those white supremacists who think being pro-black in any way is being anti-white. Even the power dynamics match. Absolutely embarrassing

HEARTSTOP

Shouldn't they be focused on progressing the cause instead of giving attention to their so-called enemies? This is just as pathetic as PETA.
