After 16 years of Angela Merkel as chancellor, the three parties SPD (social-democratic party), Bündnis 90/Die Grünen (The Greens) and FDP (liberal party) got to form the new government under chancellor-to-be Olaf Scholz. Last week, SPD and FDP agreed to the coalition agreement. The Greens did - contrary to the other parties - a vote across all members of the party and presented the result today. 56% of all members voted and 86% of them accepted the coalition agreement and the personnel for the ministers of the party. This made all the parties agree to the coalition agreement and no re-elections are necessary. In other related news, the SPD presented their personnel for ministries. The new minister for the ministry of health was highly anticipated and due to his profound knowledge as a virologist - which he shared in multiple talk shows over the last 2 years -, Karl Lauterbach was announced to take over said ministry. vpez 1,250 Posted December 6, 2021 Share Posted December 6, 2021 I'm really hopeful that they'll change a lot of things in the near future. Especially in education and traffic. Our education system is far too old for 2022 and nowhere near to equal opportunities for everyone. Also taking the train shouldn't be that expensive as it is right now, it's pretty obvious that most people prefer to drive with their own car right now. trust is like a mirror, you can fix it if it's broken but you can still see the crack in that ************s reflection.
