If you keep comparing everything to that then you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. For comparison, Eternals is a marvel movie and is adored by the public. Even that didn’t get a B+ I agree with your first set of statements. However, to be fair, Eternals isn't adored by the public. It's more well-received than it was for the critics, but it was still relatively divisive. ♦ 𝕁𝕠𝕜𝕖𝕣: 𝔽𝕠𝕝𝕚𝕖 𝕒 𝔻𝕖𝕦𝕩 ♥ || 𝕆𝕔𝕥𝕠𝕓𝕖𝕣 𝟜, 𝟚𝟘𝟚𝟜

Maybe their statistical model wasn't very accurate back then? Because B+ sounds like a high 8, which is consistent with the current RT score (88%). That's not how Rotten Tomatoes works. Rotten Tomatoes is the % of people who liked the movie. For example, if a movie has a 90% on RT, that doesn't mean that the quality of the movie is 90%. It's not an "A-" movie. What that score is telling you is that 90% of people who saw the movie liked it overall. Also, the examples that that person stated were completely fair. I don't think CinemaScore has drastically changed their methods of polling people since those movies came out.
