According to his social media post, BTS leader was cleaning up his desktop to free up some storage space, when he deleted the audio file of a new song he was working on.
In his post translated from Korean, he said, "I made a mistake in cleaning today… So the audio files that I had been working on for a year were lost… I’m in a total mental breakdown… But I will still find strength… I was almost done with it… sure… the worst day outta this year. I’m sad so I’m recording it on Moments."

With all the messages of concern coming in from fans, RM, followed up his post asking fans not to worry. He did mention that he was only upset because he had recorded over 60 audio tracks for that one song.
"In case you will worry, it’s only just that one song. The other few songs are left well in the care of others. But there are over 60 tracks recorded for this so I can’t even think of doing it all over again... But I will still do it well and let you listen to it sometime. *sob* Everyone, use your cleaning programs with caution…"

I hope BTS are working on original songs again. And not buying from Ed Sheeran. Their music is best when it is sincere.

They produce/write their own music? :omg:

That’s how they got so big in the first place. Haters don’t understand why they are so popular but it is literally the same reason we stan Lady Gaga.

I honestly had no clue. I'm mostly suprised because K-pop seems to be very manufactured

Awww poor Joon :( I love him, and I agree: I hope they’re back to making their own music. Their old stuff is truly incredible. I would also be losing my mind if I deleted a year’s worth of music lol

You’re not wrong. Kpop is incredibly manufactured. And people have valid reasons not to enjoy it. That’s not to say that everyone is the same.

Here are some examples of the most popular ones off the top of my head:

Groups that takes part in writing and producing: Big Bang, BTS. Big Bang’s leader GDragon is possibly the most influential artist (in Eastern markets) in the last decade or so.

Talented vocalists: Mamamoo.

Groups that are super manufactured: Twice, Blackpink. They can’t really sing, write or produce music, but they are very pretty.
