hELXIG 42,666
I just watched both interviews back to back and I'm getting second hand anxiety that they only have an 11 minute time slot, and not everyone gets questions, and Gaga gets big questions that take up time to answer I'm like ask Salma something quick! I do enjoy watching these interviews, but as other people are saying it feels a bit off. They all seem very tired. I don't get the 'bad chemistry' vibes other people are talking about, they all just seem exhausted to me Although I will say it does feel weird hearing Jared Leto give almost the same ass-kissing speech about Al Pacino twice in a row on the same couch lol deja vu And also I noticed that Gaga dodged the first part of the question, asking her how she's doing in this moment. And idk if it was just me, but it seemed like she felt emotional in that moment. I think this role took a big toll on her and affected her quite deeply I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

I think this role took a big toll on her and affected her quite deeply I feel like Gaga is sort of...dialing back the psychological/accent talk or at the very least the intensity? Instead, she seems to be focusing on the "journalistic spirit" line and more about how Patrizia was determined, etc. I don't know, the Vogue interview was entertaining asf and the general public & large swaths of the media seemed amused by it...but the film world can be kind of elitist/shady and some were snarking about that interview (particularly the accent bit). The Oscar campaign is kind of a popularity contest and they even have advisors, and I wonder if someone advised her to stop focusing on the accent work as that seems to be the thing that is most divisive about her performance (even if she's mostly getting praise and Vanity Fair/Variety still have her in the race for a nomination, even some of the praise is critical of her accent (well, everyones accents). And I agree...people are overanalyzing the body language. Plus people got so used to Bradley and Gaga, or even Sam and Gaga, that it set their expectations for her other films to have that similar, very warm vibe...when that's not usually the case with most casts. A MESS 3,938
ok that was strange I'm really happy Salma commended Gaga on her hard work on developing an original character for Patrizia, it is confirmation on her spirit! I still think this cast altogether is a bit...hmmm weird? (Except Gaga and Salma of course and I know Adam doesn't like giving interviews and doing press, so that's ok - I really think Gaga and Adam like each other) Jared is like the only one sitting very far on the outside like he doesn't wanna belong. (that's just my impression) I don't know if anyone has noticed, but when Gaga said that she had so much anxiety doing her first interviews for this role and that she was like sweating in between interviews, cuz she kinda felt like Patrizia in a world full of powerful men that had a lot of say, while she didn't... it was an "illusion". Is she lowkey telling us something? THEY CALL ME LADY MOP

I think you're right about all of this! Gaga is very smart in the way that she will steer a conversation in the direction that she wants it, to put across the message she wants to. I'm sure her and her publicist sat down beforehand and decided what they did and didn't want to talk about 1 hour ago, Mother of Puppies said: That's what I noticed... the interviewer was soooo nice and it was very kind of her to ask how Gaga is doing now. Is she lowkey telling us something? I found that line about sweating between interviews a bit odd to say in front of everyone, until I realised that she probably meant in the music world. There are rumours though that Gaga didn't like Jared very much and found him fake or something? I don't want to play into the rumour mill, but I did feel from these interviews that it could possibly be true. But we'll never know I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. I feel like she genuinely took the guilt of Patricia was hers. Of course she knows it wasn't her, but she feels it to be hers, if that makes sense.
