I smiled as I watched her talk about all the iconic looks that made me fall in love with her at an early age. She truly shifted pop culture and the fashion world when she debuted. I have a tremendous amount of respect for her for how dedicated she is to fashion and art, and how she embodies it. As an artist, it is so refreshing and important to see a celebrity be so intentional about the art they put out as opposed to the present-day vapid consumption of art and fashion alike.

Kudos to Gaga, and she truly puts almost all the rest of the Vogue fashion flashback entries to shame. No one has done it like her. RIP McQueen.

did she rehearse this? it's so impressive how she remembers every designer's full name and backstory.

i'm sure she didn't, she doesn't script interviews, she was just the same discussing outfits in her rupauls episode. she's just that intelligent appreciative and cares deeply about the craft and crediting artists.

ok now i've watched this, i'm slightly disappointed that they didn't have more of a differentiation of looks and just focussed more on her early career...they showed so many looks during the fame/fame monster but skipped so many during born this way/ARTPOP and also completely skipped 2014-2018 (a huge gap which had so many iconic looks too) and went straight onto 2019-present.

like girl where is the:

Valentino pink feathered dress at Venice Film Festival 2018

Azzedine Alaia dress with the red gloves 2015

Versace Super Bowl look 2017

The David Bowie Grammys Look 2016

All Black Grammys Look with Metallica, 2017.

Mugler Show 2011

CFDA Awards 2011

Monster Ball living dress 2010

VMA paparazzi blood ensemble 2009

The Blue Velvet Brandon Maxwell Dress during cheek to cheek era

I know Gaga has SO many looks and they can't include all of them but I think the choices could have been tailored better and more representative of each era she's encompassed.

FYI: i'm not complaining about Gaga at all. It's whoever put the looks together at Vogue could have researched a little better imo.

you can serve it to me ancient city style...
