Predictions are made based on some but incomplete information, and a trailer provides some but incomplete information. In fact major news outlets have made predictions before even trailers are dropped.

They can, with some accuracy, do so by looking at the names of the directors and cast and writers involved. So I'd say the fact that he saw the trailer means he has more knowledge than us (at this moment).
