Exactly what I was going to say. And yet they listed a lot of non released movies in their predictions and left HOG outĀ :interestinga:

It seems like Ridley Scott movies don't get much promo, I donā€™t even think The Last Duel had much promo.

Ridley hasn't made an Oscar worthy movie in quite a while... Just Enjoy it folks. Or can't you enjoy something without someone else agreeing?Ā :crossed:

I would never die for my beliefs because I might be wrong

Variety predix are just reflections of the current month, and we are too far from the actual season. As soon as they come back Gucci promo or the movie releases publications like them and THR will include Gaga again.

It's not festivals that determine if a film is going to awards. But they help hype-less films to gather attention (like Spencer or The Lost Daughter). While bigger movies like the ones I cited gather hype on their own, but yes festivals also can help.

But also, Gucci wasn't even finished to enter those.

Tbh what MGM needs to do most is sending screeners and sessions to Academy, SAG, GG members etc. Your movie needs to be seen by who needs to see. That matters more than reviews or "narrative".Ā If they mess that part then we can get really worried.

That was Disney/ Fox to blame. Not Ridley.

They never really believed in that movie and released in a stacked weekend. Like it was just to end with it.

In MGM's case HoG is their biggest player of the season alongside Licorice Pizza. So i don't see them dropping that easily.

I mean those predicting it for awards are not basing it on anythingĀ .... nobody has seen it

would be safer to wait until it has its premiere and we get the first reactionsĀ

Literally nobody's talking about the Oscars. Box office is a much bigger deal for this one because it could make or break Gaga's film career, and forĀ as long as I live and breathe I will never ever pay to see a movie by MGM or Universal ever again if they **** this up for her.

Box office numbers for HoG aren't going to make or break Gaga in the least. tbh box office numbers are in fluxĀ after covid, the whole cinema release landscape is changing, studios are trying new things. Even if the movie doesn't do well financially no one is going to pin that on Gaga.

That being said, I also don't think the lack of promo yet is a big deal. Once November hits I expect it to start/ramp up. They debuted the trailer during the Olympics, they wouldn't have done that if they didn't care I don't think. They're not going to let it rot
