"settle for Joanne-like level of promotion"

Are you for real? :partysick:

Joanna had MAJOR promo, in multiple countries, the kind we could only DREAM for now, including arguably the BIGGEST promo possible and one of the world's largest stages aka the Super Bowl.

Y'all really like to rewrite history it seems when it suits you and isn't something you like.

I honestly think so. I mean that group of women (Gaga, Beyonce, Adele, Taylor, Rihanna) appeared on the world stage and have yet to leave it with them defining themselves individually as forces to be reckoned with. Whether its movies, music, makeup or fashion they have the ability to continue to be the main women for at least the next decade before attention may shift from them. Taylor & Adele may have more kindness from radio than the others due to insane numbers from sales and streaming but Gaga could easily command that with the right album. Just look at ASIB success. If she made an album full of songs like ARUTW, Look What I Found, and Is That Alright she would be number one hands down.

I think so too, especially because Taylor Swift and Adele are arguably the kind of musicians whose music isn't necessarily rooted in a trend or in an age group, their audience tends to be quite broad (especially Adele) and their music is family-friendly that people will want their kids listening to her, etc. Like I can easily picture Adele going #1 at 60 years old if she plays her cards right haha

I think the stans are more traumatized than she ever was about this era. I wonder if the fanbase will ever let it go that she didn't market it during COVID much. Probably not.

I don't think shes traumatized by it, I think she was discouraged by the pandemic tbh.

She was absolutely beautiful! The Perfect Illusion looks were my favorite (also my favorite song off the album!)

I don't think she was traumatized as much as she just ditched it to focus on helping during the pandemic and using her platform to support Black Lives Matter. However, her complete disregard for the album (while all artists eventually went back to releasing) would give the impression that something 'big' must have happened. The truth is I don't think there's a legitimate reason as to why the era (minus the potential tour) was canned, but moving forward I will never have any expectations for Gaga eras.

I know y'all drag some of us saying it isn't 2011 anymore :rip: I never thought it would be again, but yeah...no expectations moving forward.

She should try one more time :ohno:

I bet she'll have a huge pop era in her 40s like Madonna did with Confessions

I just think she’s playing it safe cuz of the pandemic and she wants to spend more time living for herself

I've been saying this since day one. Gaga always talked about how she was super deppresed during the creation of the album so I doubt she had the energy to have a BTW-esque type of promo. This whole time with no performances, shows and too many public appearances was probably a relief for her. I just hope she will be recharged and ready to go for LG7.

I don't think so, I'm sure she understands the circumstances were very different from the ARTPOP era. She wasn't betrayed by her team. The whole world went through a pandemic and the US had the George Floyd mmurderand race issues, she contributed to helping both.

Gaga shifted her attention to Covid relief show and then shortly after a family member fell sick and was hospitalized.

She eventually picked up again, but things like House of Gucci, Love For Sale, HausLabs and other commitments were still planned and I’m sure the team didn’t want to delay it more. You can also tell that Chromatica was mainly Blood’s project featuring Lady Gaga for the most part.

It would have been nice to have a Chromatica Live Performance like Dua Lipa did just in case we don’t get the tour in 2022. I think Gaga is focused on the movie promo, Vegas shows, and will revisit the Chromatica era with just the tour in July 2022-August 2022 similarly to how she was quiet with ARTPOP after the GUY music video and just did Roseland and the ARTPOP ball and ended the era. I do think one more video is yet to come, I’m thinking either Sine From Above or Sour Candy.

I do think she will revisit the ARTPOP era and be inspired by the rebellious spirits who kept ARTPOP alive after all these years. ARTPOP was her pain exploding in pop music, it’s part of her creativity now. I do think that big pop era is coming, and her dream of ART+POP will come to fruition. I know that version of her is still in there. Manifesting ARTPOP: ACT II for 2023 for the 10th anniversary edition with loads of collectable merch.

Speaking of this, do we think ageism will be kinder to singers like Adele, Taylor Swift and Rihanna? Curious here.

Adele is kind of genius calling her album 30 even though she is 33 same for 25 when she was 27. People will just assume she’s the age of the album title

She’s such a multitalented genius legend that she doesn’t need anything of the sort. She’s free to do so but imo the best thing for her to do would be to take complete creative control over her art and say a big FU to commercial success.

So...a mini-tour, 4 music videos, Coachella, 5'2, multiple TV slots for performances and interviews, radio takeovers, a standalone single, an alternate version of the title track, the freaking Super Bowl Halftime Show, and a full arena tour (minus a few cancelations at the end for her fibro)?

Is...is that not enough for y'all or? :rip:

The way I was saying almost the same thing :laughga:

Anyway, OT: she's not traumatized any more than the rest of the world was from covid. She had plans, they fell through, just like the majority of humanity in 2020 :rip:
