Leoooo 2,250
Okay, from the couple of threads ive seen with LFS numbers, projected positions etc etc Ive seen some really real and emotionally valid comments from fans who think this is a bad thing. Listen, anyone who hasnt bought this or streamed, literally does not know or care. Nobody is looking at this as they would Chromatica, which I assume Gaga wishes they did, so it is a 'non moment'. Only a celebration of the music to those who care. It has made her career BETTER, through the narrative of the very tragic situation with Tony and how close they were / are. Forget numbers, this was never going to be a number 1, (I knew that?) What it has done, is ADDED to the legacy. Dont want to be morbid, what are they going to say / post / write / film / feel / think, when Gaga passes? This is a story that will live on forever, charts are purely in the moment
Chromatica Island 8,517
I agree wholeheartedly! Any/All Pronouns, Genderfluidđłâ⧠
Cameltoe Chariot 14,536
I 100% agree and wish this fanbase would stop obsessing over chart placements and sales figures... at this point in Gaga's career she has reached legend status and can no longer "flop" in a way that will damage her career. She's literally too successful and too famous now to have her career affected by a poorly selling album. Let's just enjoy her art and cheer her on

CannaeDrive 3,412
Agree, this album will only add positively to her career quality wise whatever the numbers on charts, that nobody really care about but some stans. This woman holds so many Aces (and Jokers) in her hand, we should not worry about that stuff. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas
SKANK 14,288
Gaga has mentioned Cheek To Cheek's chart position in basically every interview she has done to promote Love For Sale. Last week she performed Born This Way and prefaced it with a anecdote about it going number one. People like to pretend that it's only shallow fans who care about chart positions and awards, but Gaga cares. And with this being Tony's last album, I'm sure she cares even more. Buy and stream Love For Sale, and hope for its continued success during the holiday season. Maybe it can snag a Grammy or two, and give the end of Tony's career the send off it deserves. Â Â Literally, I understand where you are coming from. However, Â I really dont think the fact she mentions or celebrates a chart position means thats how she will ever judge the quality of her work or justify the effort in making it. Its just a lovely thing. Why not talk aboutit? This is legend level **** on paper, because it is. Tony is literally an icon, Gaga was his last duet and friend on stage. She was the last person to take the guy FRANK SINATRA, helped make big. **** charts. She is smart enough to know what matters there.

SKANK 14,288
Just now, CannaeDrive said: That is not exactly what she said, she added it was not about the song or album on the chart but about the people, I suggest you  go listen again.  Gaga called Born This Way going number one the greatest honor of her career. âItâs a tremendous honour," Gaga tells Billboard of the milestone. "To be the 1000th No. 1 on Billboard...I would be silly not to say this is the greatest honour of my careerâ âI am so humbled and so honoured and overwhelmed by the reception to 'Born This Way,'" Gaga adds. " has been so life changing for me as an artist, and between Billboard and the international number ones and the radio numbers...I couldn't be more blessed to have the fans that I have." Regardless of the context, ten years later she is still talking about the the chart position of Born This Way, because it holds value to her. And itâs not just that song. While promoting Love For Sale she has been talking about Cheek To Cheek going number one. She celebrated A Star Is Born going platinum on Instagram. She has always talked about chart success in a way that indicates that itâs important to her. At the end of the day the art is going to be the most important thing, but awards and chart positions matter to her. Which isnât a bad thing.

But logically it would follow if she cared so much about that her and her team would actually care to do more to help the album be more commercially successful then, yet all they do is have her post Instagram posts lol. Sure Gaga likes to claim those things when they occur, but doesn't seem to care anymore about putting in the effort to make it happen. Maybe she just expects it? Idk. Sadly this has backfired for her and her team and hopefully shows them all how you can't just release an album and essentially go silent from a promotional perspective if you want to make a splash.

Please God tell me you know why it meant that for BORN THIS WAY. To be a hit? a standalone album, literally supporting LGBTQ+ when nobody else even close to her status was. You must get why that is a number one that will forever be a highlight for her, she was the biggesttttt pop star, she knows that album could have ruined her career, but did it anyway. Thats propably the only number 1 shes gunna really care about emotionally
