I have 6 different what if options. There are 3 pairs (A, B, C). You can only chose one of each letter. The categories are:

A: Unreleased albums (what if Gaga released…)

B: Early release of songs (What if X Gaga song was released as a solo song…)

C: Promoted singles (What if X Gaga song was promoted as a single…)

Which did you chose, and why?

I chose what if Gaga released ARTPOP ACT 2 in spring of 2014. ARTPOP is such a one of a kind journey - completely different from the rest of the discography and I would love more of it. Although, it is also kind of nice that it is a bit of a unicorn, I guess it gives it even more uniqueness.

Act 2 in Spring. I wish she'd have just dropped it for the fans but the era was so messy she probably just wanted to move on.

Babylon Haus Labs in 2019 even though I wouldn't mind if it doesn't, the original Babylon is so good and the hype for Chromatica would've made me thought this was the sound for it, but what we got is even better.

Sour Candy as a single WITH a proper music video obviously because it's the biggest missed opportunity.

LG5 because anything that’s not Joanne>

Well if she released LG5 in 2016 she still could’ve made Joanne and released it in late 2016 :laughga:

Bloody hooker

A: Gaga released the original LG5 in early 2016

I feel like the original LG5 could’ve been just as successful as Joanne, especially if it include songs from Joanne. A disco album mixed with ballads and country esque tracks would’ve served.

B: Gaga released Babylon Haus Labs in 2019

It would have been a really good buzz single before Stupid Love.

C: Gaga released and promoted Sour Candy as a single

It would have been the second #1 single from Chromatica. The album would get a 4th single immediately after the longevity of SC.

This mutual gaze was a “longing to touch” or a "pre-coitus" stare.

A. how am I supposed to answer cuz these are unreleased and I would not have heard them. :mark:

B. idk. I don't have decent context that far back just off the cuff.

C. boys ditto is not a single. sour candy might have been a single. But it should be remixed a bit so the styles are more intertwined and layered. It sounds like 2 diferrent songs taped together.

Act II by a landslide: I alway felt like "the original lg5" was more of a myth withing the fanbase or a fanfiction if you want to call it that way than a real thing. And as much as people can love RedOnes work and hate ARTPOP, the truth is we know for sure act II was scrapped for extra musical reasons, and as far as we know the "oriignal lg5" could have been scrapped because it simply wasn't good enough.

I chose DiC. I feel like it was a good thing that she didn't sell an album like Joanne with single like DiC, but at the same time I feel like that song could have worked great as a single, so the best for dic would have been to be a standalone single either before or after the album.

I am not super fond about any of the options, but I chose SC. BBB would have done great and would have surely helped cement the fame as a legendary album even more, but the fact is knowing what came afterwards, cutting the era short and moving onto TFM and BR was a good decision.

ARTPOP act II - something sounds off.... The potential of sour candy though..... Leaves a sour taste.
