candiedroses 408
I'm really confused about something. Since Love for Sale came out, it's made me go back to revisit Cheek to Cheek, naturally... I was sad to notice that Bewitched, Bothered & Bewildered wasn't on streaming, I was so used to hearing it on the CD version when I played it in my car a few years ago. So I just happened to look up her version of the song, and I was left with more questions than answers. Pretty much everywhere online, including Wikipedia (which doesn't even mention the Target edition), only has mention of her live version of "Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered", "Jazz at Lincoln Center" to be specific. The CD version I have (The Target Edition) has a very obviously studio version of the song, not a live version... The exact version featured at this link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70Htb3N4Ooo ... Some sites say that the Target version has the Live version on it, but that's just false, and has me confused as to if some CDs have different versions?? But, there is a version from Jazz at Lincoln Center, which would've been from the "Cheek To Cheek" live special, but that version has dialogue to the crowd, a couple of different lyrics, & crowd sounds. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDttjM50PGk ... Does everyone else's Target version of Cheek to Cheek contain a STUDIO version of "Bewitched, Bothered...." or... ??

rawrimamonster 1,115
I don’t remember where I bought the CD but I have definitely heard the studio version of that song many times while listening to it in my car.
eifulien 2,452
I have the European deluxe and just checked - inside the booklet it says it's Live from Jazz at Lincoln Centre, but the song's legnth is 3:07 and is squeaky clean in sound, no crowd, nothing. Sounds very crisp. Could still be live from there though. Wasn't the Bang Bang cover also recorded live? I don't have it cause it was an iTunes exclusive (I guess now it's on Apple Music, anyone please check?)

The Bang Bang cover was recorded live, but that is the only song that I am aware that was recorded live. I am also confused, because there is a studio-like version of that song, too, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SID_vsdSP4

Stephen 30,314
I think maybe this and Bang Bang (Live) were recorded during rehearsals at the venue. The (Live) is to indicate that it was on stage at this venue, rather than in a recording studio.
