Like, ever- the whole sonic concept of it is still really, really well done. But when I found out after Volume 2 was released, that it was all basically an exclusive Luke production, I've never felt more gross. Shame. I mean, it WAS full length? She repeatedly states that “Clarity” isn’t her debut album, she considers it a “project”, like a pop mixtape I presume. She basically released a song a month and then decided to package them into one project called Clarity. I don’t think the songs were meant to have any strong correlation, they were made to stand alone. Her debut album however she considers a concept album and is getting the traditional album release of single then album, so we’ll get to hear the songs all at once, whereas by the time Clarity was out, we already heard the songs.
