that was really really lovely

I'm glad they were able to capture these moments on film before Tony's condition got much worse.

Juxtapose her chain smoking, crying, and being dragged into the studio to make Chromatica, with the ease and joy of her creating Love For Sale.

Hopefully, for her sake as well as ours, she really does carry the torch for Tony and keeps recording jazz.

Fans might criticize her for not handling her pop eras perfectly (myself included) but no one can justify her relationship with Tony and their genuine collaboration.

I really admire where she's at now. A career highlight.

You’re being very cynical, she just means that jazz is something that should be universally treasured instead of being dismissed by pop, rock, rap and dance music stans.

She talks about it like it’s going away or about to be lost to time lol that isn’t being cynical, that’s what she was saying in addition to the bits about joy and such (which are fine).

But like I said it comes off as weird to me since she isn’t really in the modern jazz scene at all or collaborating with the people doing the things she wants the genre to do. Idk to me it’s a little patronizing towards the insanely hard work of the musicians who are creating the tremendous scene there is today. It’s well-intentioned, but I think it’s a message that is ultimately a little tone deaf.

When she sang at the 6-minute mark and it pans out and it's just her singing solo :bradley::fatcat:

It makes me sad that Gaga at some point will be in Tony’s shoes. Older and slowly fading from life.

Glad they met and created such an amazing musical/friendship bond!

I hope she does too. And I hope in the future she finds herself being a mentor for the younger generation. She already is doing that but I hope she creates a special bond with a newer artist in the future.
