Not German but living there, all I can say is that I've seen a lot of these political posters these last months, but I don't know anything except the main parties and what they more or less stand for.

Germans love to complain cause they're so pampered (by themselves as a society). It's funny having conversations with Germans, talking about flaws in socialized things (transportation, healthcare, etc.) And then seeing them shocked when I explain the U.S is essentially a free for all.

German elections are boring. These 3 are practically the same and governed together for 20 years. Who cares who wins? They'll form a coalition together anyway. Nothing will fundamentally change.

Well he flopped at his voting booth, folding his ballot the wrong way so everyone could see what he voted for - which breaks the rules.

At least he voted for himself, but chile

I just voted 2 hours ago, but since I don't have German citizenship I could only take part in the local election. Nonetheless, I'm hoping for a Red-Red-Green coalition in the Bundestag although it probably is impossible, sadly. Also I really hope people will vote "Yes" in the expropriation referendum here in Berlin, first of all because this city needs to put an end to the housing crisis, second because it would be a game-changer, even on a global scale.

CDU/CSU - 25%

SPD - 25%

AfD - 11%

FDP - 11%

Die Linke - 5%

Bündnis 90/Die Grünen - 15%

Others - 8%

AfD still being a thing. 

Greens not being the strongest even though our planet is dying in front of our eyes and they are the most inclusive party.

Right? I was shocked seeing at how CDU turned out to be the strongest again  . I just hope now that Olaf Scholz remembers that he said he doesn't want to have another Groko again .
