Real question, I get the whole thing with Scooter Braun, but are the remakes significantly different from the original albums or are they more like remasters? If they’re pretty much the same, what’s with the hype around them?

For her older music, her voice is SIGNIFICANTLY better in the rerecording. They're also being released alongside songs that nobody has heard before from those era's writing sessions. 

It's also just fun to relive the eras, because Taylor is one of those artists whose fanbase have very specific life events tied to each and every album era of her career, and these rerecordings bring people back to those times in their lives.

I’m sure her vocal style has improved. But tbh this seems like a more personal project, and trying to gain control of her masters. It’s somewhat profit/moral based but I think every artist should have control over the work they make so even if they’re sounding exactly the same I don’t have a problem with it

She’s intentionally recording them to be as close to the original as possible so that people don’t see much reason to stream the originals anymore. Thus far, the only significant differences are her voice being much more mature and controlled and the songs overall having better mixing.

And tbh that’s how it should be - I wouldn’t want to listen to covers of her songs.

I get some people think it’s greedy, but like I said - if you write and make music (basically art) you should have control of your own masters so at least Taylor is getting control of Taylor’s Versions
