Yeah her vocals were good, but the backdrop and her faces were giving me high school drama production. The dancing was not good and the problem is that when you reference Beyoncé’s style so closely like that you need to kill it or it will be painfully obvious how short you are falling. Whereas when you see how Normani is serving Janet, Ciara and Aaliyah, she slays that. I still love the song and she has a lot of potential, but the overhype she’s getting on here is starting to irk me. It's the directors fault. The director on a live show picks the cameras. That Doja up in the air was a mess of bad choices of cameras. I felt there should have been much more panoramic angles because her in the middle of the ring was beautiful and more audience reactions. Instead there was so many close ups and then they were terrible close ups because they choose cameras showed her covering her face. When more than likely in another angle on another camera her face wasn't covered. So was Justin and Kid LAROI's performance. It was so weird the camera choices. Even Normani's performance had some weird angles that were not her fault. They had some bad choices for most of the performances. Close ups when there should have been more panoramic shots. If you notice the performances that were filmed outside were much better with camera angles because the camera choices were made with alot more time. Since the ones outside are live but pretaped.
