Afghan BTS fans reveal they’ve had to hide or burn bts albums

Recently JTBC News reported on the stories of teenage girls in Afghanistan who are fearing for their lives due to the Taliban. They interviewed several residents of Kabul regarding their situation.

Another 18-year old student commented, “Our situation forces us to burn or hide our BTS photos and albums.” In the past, the Taliban did not allow people to listen to mainstream music.

Well it always blow my mind how so many arabians and africans people like BTS when you know how Koreans people (in general!!)  don't like Africans and Arabs people they litteraly block them from going in clubs or some restaurants i've seen that with my own EYES ! One of my black friend was refused in a club when i got accepted in they told her her english was not good enought and they will probably don't understand her , look at how trash my english is she's so much better than me but cause she was black they refused !! And actually a lot of koreans idols are racist when you do your research.. 

OFC not all koreans people are like that it's slowly changing ( too slowly for real )
I know it has nothing to do with BTS exept the fact that they are koreans but i guess i'm bored

I understand your point but as you mentioned at the end, that entire scenario (while it may be true) has nothing to do with BTS. It’s also really important to emphasize your distinction between what you’ve seen from a subset of Korean people and Korean people as a whole. I know you said it’s not all Korean people but you really need to make that point abundantly clear, people love to generalize. Not sure if this commentary was productive for the group or topic bestie

Afghans are not arab though Tha arab world ends with syria and Iraq, everything east to that is not arab.

OT: Unfortunately this a result of years of western portraying POC (specially black and brown people), as a threat. If you watch movies/series made few years after 911, there is a lot a of referencing that arabs are a threat.

Just to make things clear; my comment was just an in general joke. Even if this was non-Taliban related, I’d still post the same thing. I’m just not a fan of BTS, but with that being said, no disrespect to BTS fans. It’s just a harmless joke.
