Normani says she’s disappointed after being overlooked by the VMAs

I thought we didn’t like the VMA’s because they only chase who’s hot at the moment :oprah: like how they always promoted Gaga being at the shows from 2009-2011 then when Miley was bigger in 2013 they pushed Gaga aside until 2020 when she took over the world again :oprah:

idk that seems to be the case here. Other artists are bigger than Normani and they’re choosing them over her :oprah: why is anyone surprised

Normani is a clear case of overhype before release. She whas been told by so many people that she is destined to be great, the next Beyoncé. Even Beyoncé hyped her up.

She's a talented performer-dancer. Vocally not very strong. But the girl doesn't have any content to share with the world.

She has barely released 2 major singles (neither of them made any noise), some collabs and that's it. Not even an album, a body of work. From what I see, she's still a new girl who's trying to make it. She still needs to prove herself and the public she's that star everyone is expecting her to be. Idk why she makes these comments when she's not even made any move to put her name out there. No"bus-club-notherclub-notherclub" to her name. As for now, she's only a former girl from Fifth Harmony.

It's so irrelevant if she says "culture reset" when the culture is not even out there.

Didn't she also say that Motivation created some kind of cultural shift? Somebody is lying to this girl.

I mean there IS a reason Dua scrapped the feature with her & released it solo on the deluxe Future Nostalgia lmfao

and what is that reason?

She has a lot to say for someone with no albums out and two non-top 10 singles

And she's already been given her debut MTV awards performance.

Even Ava Max was only given a preshow performance in 2019 and her song went number 1 in 326 countries world wide. :ally:
