It seems regional variants are Pokémon’s way forward of introducing new forms/evolutions of existing Pokémon. I suspect its cause Mega evolutions made regular Pokémon get Legendary Pokémon stats (basically overpowered) and maybe the Pokémon company wants to avoid that for the competitive scene. Sad, because I genuinely loved the mechanic. Anyways both the remakes and Legends Arceus look much better than their first showings, excited!!
