He may have become a father, but he was always a daddy :sis:

SKANK

The fact that a member of the President’s cabinet is able to be openly gay and start a family is unprecedented in our nation’s history. It’s a first, and what generations of queer folks could only dream of.

Regardless of how you feel about Pete’s politics, this is wonderful news. And as a general rule, birth announcements are a trashy time to call people names and be nasty.

Congrats Pete and Chasten. :)

I'll never understand anyone, queer or breeder, who wants to have brats, JFC

It creates a sense of purpose in life.  The experience of loving someone as much as you love yourself.  Having a family to grow old with, carving out a place where you really belong.

It's a lot of work and totally changes the focus of your life.  But being able to guide another person into maturity is sort of privilege and sort of basic experience in being a human.  A lot of people have a biological instinct to parent children.

I don't want kids, but as I get older I definitely understand it now and with Chasten being a teacher and Pete loving people I think they'll do great and wish them well.

Well let's focus on what we can both agree on.  It's good you're not having kids. :vegas:

This planet is overpopulated as all phuck, anyway, so much that it could even be said that our responsibility as humans in this times is not having children at all :ohwell:

I definitely agree with you there.  That makes adoption a good way to go about it for those who want to be parents.

That's certainly a way of being a parent without creating more individuals
