I never once claimed the US could pull this off; but since you “LMAO”-ed my comment. I mean all I said she was one of the few world leaders who was doing it right and takes it seriously. Not sure what’s so funny about that.

We should have had mandatory vaccines, world wide, continued working from home and staying in phases everywhere for at least another year. 
 

I don’t think most places are far from closing down again, no one wants to talk about it, but the hospitals are almost full again

I'm in New Zealand and seems like a good idea, we have no idea how far it has spread (the guy who tested positive has been moving around the country) and has had it for five days before he was tested. Considering we have had no cases I agree with governments decision, if we can eliminate it early that's probably the best option

I live in Australia. NZ and Australia both try to maintain the 0-Covid strategy, which is very ineffective when there are cases, but awesome when it works because it allows life to be completely normal. However with border opening next year they will have to get used to having cases again. It feels weird because the rest of the world is learning to live with it, while we are really behind everyone else. Even vaccination wise we are completely behind because we us AZ which now many people do not feel comfortable with. So now we are all waiting for Pfizer. The government is legit putting pressure on us. While most people want to get vaccinated, they want to have their choice in terms of vaccine

Yeah that’s the crux of the problem, but there’s a special measures law which allows them to do it.
 

They don’t want to, because they want to rip up the constitution (= freedom law) America forced at the end of the war. We all know this and we’re just waiting for them to blame the constitution for them literally doing nothing to stop it.

As it stands, people can’t get to hospitals. The medical system is collapsing really fast. 
 

I’m glad I’m vaccinated but I absolutely cannot describe how utterly terrified we all are right now. Basically permanent extreme anxiety…

New Zealand is the same size as Colorado, with almost as many people, so it could've worked in at least one state

I live in China and use the same 0 case strategy, but we have much higher vacc rate. We've had 2 mini regional cases, so more and more people want to get it as fast as they could than 3 months ago. So I think those small cases actually help, the premise is that government has enough vaccines prepared.

Also we don't do national lockdown, we start from street lockdown, and if the situation is worse we do area then city lockdown, so it's more efficient than national lockdown over 1 case.
