The difference is that my country takes in the Afghan refugees running from what your country has done. So don't even try to tell me that I have privilege or that I somehow "capitalize off" of something YOU and every American have been capitalizing off of for two decades. 

It is also funny that you seem to think I get something out of this, considering this is an anonymous account on a ****ing Lady Gaga forum that is not linked to my personal life in the slightest. But hey, you're gonna use whatever rhetoric you see fit to deflect your own guilt to others, I guess.

I don't think it's that bad. There is alot of not college educated people out there. Literally millions and most of those people are not sitting behind a computer for hours of the day reading news stories or world events. They are busy with two or three jobs or raising their kids. News papers are usually written at a 9th - 10th grade level and Americans are very visual. But the news on TV and twitter are probably dumbed down even lower. 

It is terrible and a huge shame that it has to be explained this way, but I don't think it's terrible that it was explained this way. It's more important that a message of desperation is received by the American audience. 

There is more privilege in making fun of this. Not every American is college educated or super wealthy. They are just trying to survive in their own way.

You mean the American government. Last I checked American citizens have been robbed of their money to pay for this war for 20 years, and many have lost family who have died fighting overseas. Also there are a handful of us Americans with family from the Middle East, so “I don't care what an American thinks about the Middle East” is a vague statement. It really is like something out of this reality. It makes me so sad to see this, and I can't do anything. My country doesnt have an embassy there, nor there is a notice of any of our citizens there, so the government wont do anything to help

Lol have you seen what they called me? You don't get to have it both ways, sweeties. You can all get mad at me all you want, at the end of the day your country is not my responsibility, but yours. I know that "the rich" or "the politicians" are to blame, but if there is one thing the past two American elections have shown me, it is that the people are - mostly - just the same, so don't try to treat me as if I was born yesterday, thank you.

I have no idea what your argument is honesty. I don’t get to have what both ways? Also no one said my country was your responsibility. I just explained to you that you’re accusing 20 year olds of somehow being an enemy and supporters of a war torn Middle East. American citizens who have likely only voted in one presidential election and a couple of local elections that deal with things like how our roads should be filled. This war has been going on since I was 1, how the **** is it somehow my fault  Again it’s also quite rich that you want to argue with us over this stuff on a forum dedicated to an American woman who has had a history of aligning herself with politicians such as Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Biden, who have all had a say in our country’s presence in the Middle East. If we’re the problem then surely she is too, so why would you spend your time supporting her?

We've been critizing her politics for ages but those of you who idolize her keep acting like it's no big deal
