Bling 31,385
Hi kweens, so theres been a recurring narrative regarding the direction of the Chromatica Remix album. "You want Gaga to do experimental but when she does, you don't like it" I personally believe this is a very close minded view, as you can still be experimental AND accessible and experimental does not equal Hyperpop..I thought Gaga would've gone more industrial/Euro House for the remix album but I'm no Little Manager With that said, I've watched some music videos of the artists featured on the remix album, and once you get used to the general... abrasiveness of the sound, the songs are really catchy and enjoyable imo. Not to say that "I LOVE Hyperpop", but I have a new appreciation for it and I should stop dragging Gen Z (jk ) For context, I became a fan of SOPHIE back in 2017 and that definitely took getting used to. But I found myself humming the tune of her songs or craving the intense bass. She was really the only Hyperpop artist I was into besides SOME of Charli's songs. I was also pleasantly surprised that many innovators of the Hyperpop genre are trans or nonbinary 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈 Here's a few of my favs. Discuss. This one isn't necessarily HP but I love it so much. Also this video is long but gives you this guys opinion of the history and info of the genre:
SHALLOW 16,405
To me Hyperpop is just trying too hard to sound weird and different.

And the result is unlistenable so... it's pointless, but it makes you look edgy apparently I thought this too, and like I said, I'm not necessarily a big fan but I have a better appreciation for it after watching that video where the guy talks about the roots of the genre and how it's inspired by early 2000s bubblegum pop and pop punk of that era.
