Absolutely some of the most visually stunning aesthetics of any artist in a long time. BUT…I have felt from the moment we saw the cover that there was a big disconnect between the visuals and the music. The album has somewhat of a darker edge but puts a lot of focus on healing and growing. The visuals, while immaculate, feel almost too dark and grungy for the songs that they represent. This was rectified some in the videos, but the album’s packaging and promotional images, etc. to me don’t connect with the music. Still beautiful though. Kudos to the team who worked on this, they even created a map! It was really world building. Even the Billboard and Paper magazine pictorials... wow. The tribes, was also a good concept.
