enissa11 2,984 Posted August 12, 2021 Share Posted August 12, 2021 LMAO to the ppl here trying to gatekeep weirdness, of course is common for ppl to find weird a drum&bass breakdown, d&b is not a proper genre anyway, it's just a drum pattern. structurewise it is weird to use d&b at the end of the song after a weird transition, tempo change and key change + the strings in the background, everything creates a sensation of chaos, why can't be d&b weird? it is all about the execution. it is also funny how some ppl judge the taste of other ppl and deem them as shallow if you don't like bjork LOL it is actually quite telling the shallowness if you think the experimental and "weird" music ends with Bjork, Arca, Sophie and the ones alike in that circle.... On the one hand, you accuse people of "gatekeeping weirdness" for being familiar with drum and bass and breakbeat, then the next you accuse them of being shallow for thinking that "weird music" ends with Sophie and Björk (which no one even said).
