Leo RD reveals that the collaboration between Rosalia and Tokischa will be a fusion of dembow and flamenco.

Dembow is a music style that originated in the Jamaica, with close ties to dancehall, dub and reggaeton.

(I placed it under rumor in case it doesn't come out/ the info is unrealiable, however I think is true.)

Also, the girls are pulling a Rita Ora moment. They'll upload a snippet if their Instagram post gets 2000 comments (that is not even much :air:).

More cultural appropriation accusations coming

Hmmm i don't think so, dembow is the most popular genre in Dominican Republic (country where Tokischa is from) as of now, and i can't recall a moment where any dominican dembow artist have had any type of issues like cultural appropiation (maybe because Jamaicans nor Dominicans care). I believe they'll most likely do a mixture between flamenco and a dominicanized dembow.

Besides that, im looking foward this collaboration because Tokischa is a very popular local artist in DR, the youth loves her, adults not at all. Also, Rosalia seems to be very intrested in the dominican sound and culture, she's even been to non turistic places of DR. I hope they deliver.

Dominican artists yes, but Rosalia is constantly the target of Twitter SJWs... They call her a white coloniser for 'appropiating' sounds native to Latin America. More songs into this direction will lead to more hate (for her, not Tokischa). Obviously, Jamaicans or Dominicans probably don't care and have more pressuing issues as you said, the ones who are going to be scandalised are whites from the US.
