get ready for random glitches and some blenders lol

I like experimental music, it's funny how some ppl here claim that hyperpop artists like Arca and Dorian Electra are "real experimental music" they are experimental in a very limited and specific way i don't like at all, and i say this as someone who loves black metal, for example, a genre that most ppl would think it's just noise.

Arca is not hyperpop at all though

and she has a good variety of sounds throughout her work. She always has a signature thing obviously, just like all other artists, but for example KiCk i is VERY different from her self-titled, which is very different from her mixtapes. I wouldn't call her experimentation limited at all.

i don't know if she identifies with the hyperpop label, but the things i've heard so far from her align perfectly with what is common in hyperpop, of course as you say every artists have his signature sounds and other genres they often lean, in the case of arca, i've notice her interest for the classic reggaetón venezolano, and maybe some bjork-esque ambient music

I dont see any hyperpop or PC tbh

And yeah + she has a lot of trip hop, hip hop, r&b, classical composition, etc. Shes very eclectic.

Mequetrefe is amazing. Im so curious to see how she used it. Idk how Time would fit though but I know she'll make it work.

i have yet to see classical composition inspiration in her work, and yes, the rest of genres you named are very common to revolve in the hyperpop circles, with the glitch, pc music and idm

her sound aligns more with hyperpop more than with any other type of experimental music i've heard, a lot of her songs sound very like something Sophie would do and viceversa.
