Ugh. This will probably mean no new music until at least 2025. 😓
Great for her if it’s true, but we all know Gaga will be so dedicated to her acting and Enigma, that Music will be pushed even further behind.

Uh the only young star comparable to Streisand IS Gaga. I even saw people say that after the shows with Tony. 

 

And as for the Broadway audience maybe not being into Gaga... WHAT.... 😐. Please talk sense. She's made for it and even the biggest skeptics know she's talented to her bones. It's not a case of a mediocre  A lister taking jobs from hardworking theatre performers bc if their star power. Gaga has earned her stripes in so many ways. Plus we know she will be humble and respectful. It's not an argument anybody would win. 

 

Honestly if/when she does star on Broadway it's going to be extra special considering it's literally down the street from where she grew up. People talk about seeing their name up in lights on Broadway.. Now add probably being able to see it from your bedroom window. A literal lifetime movie come to life 😅

Saw some quotes on Twitter saying that they want a Jewish person for the role. I'm scared she might face some backlash if it happens. Hopefully most people will be happy that Gaga's playing the role.

I kind of think Gaga wouldn't mind being compared to Barbra because at least she wouldn't be compared to Madonna anymore. 

But I wouldn't want Gaga to take on the same projects as Barbra Streisand, I think her career trajectory should be something more unique to her.

I really hope this is true! The only time she discussed about Broadway was when she was talking about "Circle in the Square" with Miranda. We can never know what she's truly capable off. Maybe she's always wanted to be a Broadway Star since she was 13.
