Fans are not used to see her nowadays. You don't know when the last time you see her stepping outside will be...

Monsters were just like this in 2012 when Gaga was very open and loving to her fans. I don't think that seeing Gaga has become rarer explains this...

Stupid Oreo

I would never do that! I’d just faint when she is in my sight:deadbanana:

Chromatica Island

Have they forgot she has PTSD and doesn't like people getting in her face?

I understand what you're saying to a degree, but when she has been explicitly vocal about this for YEARS, you'd think these freaks would get the memo. Gaga has been openly expressing the desire for these boundaries for over 8 years.

Do you think the average person has ever even seen those interviews much less paid attention to what she has said? No. People who are interested in her and care about her as more than an artist? Sure they have probably gotten the message. Anyone else seeing Lady Gaga out in public is going to act exactly how those people did without proper measures in place to keep them away from her. Fame is a prison and it’s one she put herself in. Is that fair or right? Hell no. But people on the whole are assholes and idiots and always put their own self first.

This was an after party for a jazz show, I'm pretty sure these weren't casual fans. And even if they were, I'm not gonna justify the behavior. I understand what you're saying, but it still enrages me to see her treated this way and just because it's commonplace doesn't mean it's right.

But fans also seem to have a little more respect. Even in Vegas when she would casually pop in to sing a song or two with Brian at his after show people didn’t behave this way. Get your act together NYC!

I'd blame the CLUB. You can't expect fans to behave, not in NYC. Mob mentality and all that. 😕

I wonder if Brian invited Gaga and her family without getting assurance from F&R that nothing like this would happen. It's completely foreseeable, like throwing someone to wolves.

Gaga would have been swarmed everyday the last couple weeks if not for her bodyguards and hotel/RCMH security... It is what it is.

No surprise that the rudeness and entitlement I see online bleeds into real life...

Not surprising at all. It's like some Monsters demanding her to do a 50-date world tour... I made you rich and famous! YOU OWE ME! Do as I say! Come to MY country! Sing for me! Now! 😏

As Cardi B said, "You don't dictate people's action."

You may own their albums but you don't own the artists. Lady Gaga is not for sale!

Why not? You'd think fans would have manners around the artists they like. Which is exactly what ACTUAL fans would have.

I didn’t say that it made it right at all. It pisses me off too but people being assholes and not viewing these larger than life icons as people isn’t something that’s going to change. It’s something that she will always need to be prepared to deal with or at least control the environment in which she does mingle with the public. Those that were treating her and her mom poorly were called out by individuals at the bar and those people said that no matter what they did it didn’t change their behavior until Gaga left. You can’t reason with idiots and those idiots don’t see her as a person and never will.

This seems to be an issue with the establishment and not her or her security. If I knew a big name like that was coming to my bar I would have an area set aside so they could have nice evening. Instead it seemed to be a fend for yourself with your team moment. Who knows maybe her people didn’t inform the bar they were coming but that seems unlikely.

Where was her bodyguard during all this??

So gross I can't imagine sticking my phone in someone's face like that. Like maybe try smiling and saying hi to her :/

That's one reason Gaga and many celebs relocate to beach towns like Malibu...

They can walk around in shorts, shop for groceries, have lunch with friends and nobody bothers them. And drive to LA for work, meetings, etc. Best of both worlds.

They can't complain about photogs hanging around coffee shops and markets... They're the reason the paps show up in Malibu annoying the locals! 😏

It’s actually difficult to watch that one video; she clearly goes from trying very hard to have fun and be okay to on the verge of a panic attack. As someone who gets panic attacks, that moment before having one is so awful since you literally are trying so hard to act normal and will it away.
She craves being able to just meet new people and exist in society, and some fans just make it impossible for her.

Too bad "NON-ACTUAL" fans got in. Oh well. Real-world problem! 🙂

No, you can't expect Bad Monsters to behave. You can't expect Good Monsters to do the policing... They don't work there!

NOTHING like this happened during her multiple appearances at NoMad Las Vegas, jazz night at Black Rabbit Rose in LA, BTW Day at The Abbey in WeHo, not to mention 2+ months on the HoG set in Italy.

This is why I blame F&R. Gaga and her mom in an overcrowded NYC club... What happened was foreseeable AND preventable. Simple as that.
