Sinner's Prayer on the album seemed too happy, both vocally and with the production. There was a disconnect between the live version at the bud light dive bar tour and the album version and i just couldn't enjoy it as much as i'd like to

My favorite song on Joanne since its release :diane: . Finally, after almost 5 years, it gets the recognition it deserves :tony: .

I think it’s a great song. In an alternate universe, I could really see it being an adult contemporary classic hit. It doesn’t try to hard, but instead finds a comfortable cool country vibe. The “I am what I am” line is a standout lyric from Joanne for me. I also think it represents the overall album well.

Sinner's Prayer is the country influence I was waiting for, and she ****ing delivered, I can't even describe how this song makes me feel. The twangy vocals and the bass and guitar groove in the intro are incredible. The "I can carry you but not your ghosts" part gives me chills.

I love the song, but I can't give it number 1. I l marginally prefer the rocky stuff, Diamond Heart, John Wayne, A-YO.

Diamond Heart gets the vote.

Its in the upper league of Joanne alongisde Diamond Heart and the title track. I also have soft spots for Just Another Day and Perfect Illusion

No :ally: The country-esque storytelling seems so nonlinear and disparate that the song feels meaningless to me lol maybe there's a deeper meaning but it doesn't rly matter cuz I just don't vibe with it :ally:

I think tracks Joanne thru million reasons are the redeeming songs on Joanne

Back then, I was just coming back to my senses from the AHS Hotel knockout. To me Gaga was nothing but a remote phenomenon before that. Then came Joanne and I instantly fell for SP. I fell for it as the best song of the album. Such a perfect song. Gaga's voice raising one octave after teh bridge is a powerful eargasm. That song made an instant monster out of me. The Dive Bar tour then, I was done. Floored. Converted. Enlisted.

Despite many ppl thinking it's too country, I think beyond the genre, Sinner's Prayer is a perfection. And It will forever stay as the song that made a monster out of me and therefore keeping a very special place in the bottom of my heart.

Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
