Were you more excited for the release of Cheek to Cheek in 2014?

Or was your excitement even bigger for 2021’s Jazz record of the year, Love for Sale?

i was excited for Cheek to Cheek bc it came out when the GP really started to take her seriously as a musician & artist but now Love for Sale dropping when House of Gucci is picking up a lot of steam just feels like a victory lap for her. she's about to dominate the awards, Oscars... Emmys (for the documentary?), and Grammys:party:

Since I wasn't a "real lm" at the time - my answer is now :vegas:

I've to say C2C because

1. it was her first full Jazz era.

2. I can't help but there's a tinge of sadness surrounding L4S, given Tony's condition. Have you seen the preview where Gaga just looks sad and teary-eyed? :fatcat:

I think Cheek to Cheek, but it may be that I remember the era itself, that I absolutely loved, more than the anticipation, so I could be biased.

Cheek to Cheek because it was the first one and coming after some trying times (ARTP*P :fatcat:).

Now it's almost like L4S  will obviously be good and the generous Queen is just giving us this gift to us, peasants :bradley:

Cheek to Cheek because I could actually go see them perform live, which I did multiple times and it was such an amazing experience.

Other than that I'm just as excited for LFS

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

Well, C2C came just after ARTPOP and it was kind of a surprise. I love the album, I was listening to it at work.

But I have more expectations for Love For Sale. I feel Gaga's vocals are stronger at this point and in general this is a project that they both anticipated ever since C2C was released.

So cheers to that :vegas: And cheers to Tony's legacy.

The L4S excitement is gone since I Get A Kick Out Of You was dropped and and I don't even like it :toofunny:

Her jazz song just is so... normal? I guess? :toofunny: (or tedious, if I have to emphasize my feeling.)

Both but probably slightly more towards C2C because it was something so different for Gaga at the time. The ARTPOP/C2C crossover era with goth style is my personal favourite moment in her career :firega:

Reviving my flop thread. :bear:

But OT, I was more hyped for L4S initially, but with everything going on with Tony and his retirement, the era feels kinda sad compared to C2C.
