Can y'all lock this thread ASAP, make it visible only to members, or even delete it.

Monsters really need to chill the f*ck out though—someone might be problematic but calling them out on twitter is only going to get...Gaga unfairly dragged. It's one thing to discuss it on here, another openly on twitter. Taylor's had to eat a lot of sh*t in the press because of her fans behavior (even if on occasion they were calling out someone being misogynistic, the fact that they swarmed the person made people see them as the 'bad guys'); don't let that happen to Gaga.

The reviews will be what they will be, but it's going to be extra sh*tty for poor Gaga if monsters create such a fuss on social media that the mainstream media picks it up like they have with Taylor stans in the past. It's not going to help her Oscar chances if there are pieces going on about fans bullying (cause swarming, even if the person is problematic and no one is being inappropriate...is seen as bullying).

this LMs vs critics thing seriously deserves a season of FEUD. somebody contact Ryan Murphy!

The funniest thing is these are like...C level critics, at best, that some are losing their minds over. And the monsters are only focusing on the negative ones, not the positive ones. People, even problematic people, are entitled to their opinions on entertainment (we're not talking about politics or social justice causes)...something monsters need to learn. And to be fair to the monsters, it's equally funny these critics have lost it to the point that they are like..looking on GGD. No one here is promoting any sort of harassment, h*ll we're calling it out.

Just really hope this doesn't turn into a Taylor Swift situation (Taylor getting unfairly dragged by several media outlets due to her stans behavior). You think monsters would learn from that and learn where to draw the line....

I'll move it to the Conversation Area for now (only members can view it). Ultimately it's @Admin's choice though.

I'm not sure what all the fuss is over the critics' reviews anyway :rip: it's just like the charts. Good songs miss the charts, good movies can get poor reviews. It's whatever. Just enjoy Gaga's work and let the wheels on the entertainment industry keep spinning.

Exactly. Sure, reviews matter to a degree, but in the end it's why people enjoy (or don't enjoy). I wouldn't let bad reviews keep me from enjoying a film or a bad reaction from the general public to a critically lauded indie...keep me from enjoying that film either. It's all subjective in the end.

Monsters need to just enjoy Gaga's work (or not enjoy). And they need to calm down—unless Gucci is like a Cats level disaster (which seems unlikely) her acting career is not going to be over.

Critics reviews don't affect Oscar chances anyway. :trollga: Critically panned movies have raked up multiple Oscar nods in the past.

I don't think I am either, because I know she's gonna deliver as always. :legend:I have never been disappointed by Gaga.

Plus the fact that we are gonna get so much content with her now. :woohoo:
