Literally every single actor/actress has had more than their fair share of bad movies. HoG doesn't even seem to be "bad." It has some pretty great reviews, but even if this movie doesn't perform as well as some thought, it's not a reflection of Gaga. GipJo 2,912 Posted November 22, 2021 Share Posted November 22, 2021 One other reason I think that why some critics didn't like this film is that they take this film too seriously or wanted it to take itself seriously but it never meant to be serious. They wanted gritty, hardcore humanity drama with deep meaning or massage, yet this movie doesn't have any agenda to prove but to show people the inside of a rich family. Oddly, some critics think less of these kind of films than those serious films but forgot that films can exist just for entertainment purpose, it doesn't have to be educational. Every performance was stellar, but frankly I wish they had better material to work with.
