I think Grace has been right all along. Cuz like she's a huge fan of Gaga and says she'll still be nominated. Why would she lie about the movie not being liked by the critics?

You really need to chill tf out. :rip: It feels you are searching and dwelling on the worst of reviews and then go on hyperventilation mode. I have seen you be overtly pessimistic and continuously give backhanded compliments when it comes to Gaga previously as well.

I knew there was something off with the movie, when that hottie dan said on twitter that Gaga deserves Oscar love (probably because LMs harassed him) but in private he gave the movie 3/5 :billie:

There is a pattern, don't you think? :)

I wasn't just talking about posting good or bad reviews.

Anyway you do you, if this brings you joy.  I just thought somebody needed to point this out.

No anxiety here. As long as I enjoy the movie (I'm sure I will), that's all I care about. This is only Gaga's 2nd big screen starring role. She's sharing a screen with Hollywood "greats" in a movie directed by Ridley Scott. Trust me, she's fine. People freaking out over the film embargo and reviews....take a deep breath. Seriously GIF by Debby Ryan

Critics at this point are using the movie and Gaga’s name as bait for clicks and interactions. It’s an easy thing to do when she has such a hugely active fan base. Little monsters will put people on pedestals or literally tear someone apart in social media just in how they use Gaga’s name. Hell some of them even do it to Gaga herself when she doesn’t meet their standards.

Until the embargo is lifted I wouldn’t worry about any actual reviews of performances. Having said that though a fan did go to the screening at the academy museum and answered a bunch of questions on Twitter from people. WARNING SPOILERS - Partizias brain tumor and Maurizio not seeing her in the hospital are completely not in the movie. Which for me, as someone who has read the book and watched countless documentaries, seems like something that should have been included. I know the hospital advised him to not come but it is something she has repeatedly said was a defining moment in her hatred for him becoming what it was. Also she is not actually arrested in the film. You just see her going from the cops searching her apartment to court which seems like a big misstep for me personally because one of the things that was repeated the most by all of the people interviewed at the time was her insisting on  wearing a fur coat and jewels to the police station. I would think that alone would play heavily into what a narcissistic person she is. I’m not doubting the story or their interpretation of it but even only having one daughter instead of two just makes it seem like they played hard and fast with all the facts. It’s obviously fictional and only inspired by true events but I would think that given the interest in the family and what happened some things being so far outside of reality may not help with some critical reviews.

The one thing I wanted was accuracy. Obviously they cannot recreate exact conversations and have to make up a lot of scenes to tie the events of the film together nicely, but (SPOILER ALERT) everything that you said was missing from the film seems so interesting and are the kind of (not so) details that bring it all together. I think Gaga is aware too lol, because in one of her recent interviews she said she had to learn how to politely suggest certain things and respectfully accept being declined (ideas on how some things should go).

Overall, I haven't read the spoilers you speak of on Twitter and I haven't seen the film so my opinion is solely based on what you have said and ultimately premature. I have no doubt Gaga will be great, but from what I've seen in the trailer and read so far I don't think the way the story is delivered will be for me. Hope I'm wrong, though.
