But it will prevent a serious case of covid that could lead you to the hospital. 

This virus isn't going anywhere. That's why vaccines will mitigate deaths and cases of people in the ICUs. Sadly, anti-vaxxers are the ones that leave the door open to the virus to keep mutating and thus the extension of the pandemic. 

Hope this doesn't happen again with a new virus in the future.

Yeah it'll probably be north of 90% for Delta, we're at 89% first jab and 73% second jab currently seeing about 25k cases a day, but they have dropped from 50k a week ago, looks like we might be almost at herd immunity. Will see in the next few weeks.
