This virus isn't going anywhere. That's why vaccines will mitigate deaths and cases of people in the ICUs. Sadly, anti-vaxxers are the ones that leave the door open to the virus to keep mutating and thus the extension of the pandemic. Hope this doesn't happen again with a new virus in the future. Because the new variants are much more transmissible new estimates put herd immunity closer to between 80% and as high as 90% Yeah it'll probably be north of 90% for Delta, we're at 89% first jab and 73% second jab currently seeing about 25k cases a day, but they have dropped from 50k a week ago, looks like we might be almost at herd immunity.
