I feel so upset whenever I remember scientists told companies about results like this in the 70s and they didn’t care enough to not pollute and damage the climate. Mother nature is destroying everything humanity built and we aided and abetted it just for… yachts?? I have no words…

The whole convo has been about preventative measures… but is it time to start talking about adaptability measures?

Thats so heart breaking to ask bc it’s like saying we’ve lost. Pass all the Green laws and plans still ofc… but idk. This is not normal. Like the whole country of Bangladesh might literally flood away 😭😭

We're screwed. We can make changes now so that we're a little less screwed in the future, but we're still screwed.

I take your point but I wouldn't say we've lost, because that would imply nature is our enemy, when in fact humans are the enemy. We're the ones at fault here, we're the ones who've been destroying the planet.

But yeah, I fear it may actually be too late and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

And tbh it's what we deserve. Not these people ofc but humanity in general for refusing to stop doing what we've been doing, and do better for the planet.

We refused to learn from our mistakes and do better, and now we get to reap what we've sowed.

Well be like Krypton...scraping every last resource of our planet until we self implode...our greed for consumption knows no bounds...humans are the most violent, selfish, and careless species in the universe...

Too late for what? Weve damaged the climate severely but its not an all or nothing thing. The fact we didnt prevent severe damage already doesnt mean its pointless now

Were not facing extinction either. At least not yet. Tho everyone seems determined to go thay direction

Id blame governments more than companies. No 1 company on their is gonna stop this not to mention they wouldnt compete if they raised their costs to be more environmentally friendly while their competition didnt

It needs to be systemic and rules need to apply to everyone. And to the whole planet too not just a few Countries
