The Selective Service system has been inactive for decades, but there's been no real legislative push to completely eliminate it. No recent Defense Secretary has made any mention of trying to activate it, it's largely a non-issue these days

The US military is plenty powerful, there will never be another draft tbh.

I dont get why they dont just abolish it :messga: it wouldnt work, if they tried to activate it today it would cause so much social uprest it wouldnt be worth it :laughga:

Yeah it's funny they act quickly when it benefits the military industrial complex but not when it benefits regular, hard-working citizens.
