They thought because they had a certain blood type or a certain skin color they wouldn’t get as sick. They thought it was ‘just the flu’. But they were wrong. And they wish they could go back. But they can’t. So they thank me and they go get the vaccine. And I go back to my office, write their death note, and say a small prayer that this loss will save more lives.”

I feel bad that the hospital workers and staff have to be traumatized over and over and over with this. They have seen more death than most of us ever want to think about.

This actually gives me hope for the state I live in. God, I hate being in high school and having to live in this horrible state. I need to dm her and just say thank you for everything she is doing.

Edit: I said this because I am happy that someone from this state is saying this is real and to get vaccinated, to wear a mask, and take it seriously. I don't like anyone dying btw.

It's sad! I've been on a waiting list to get vaccinated for a while now, I wish I was vaccinated already. I work in a firm with 280 employees and take buses everyday, so I'm always exposed to this damn virus but still can't get vaccinated

I wish I could react with a sad reaction but like what do you expect? It's a year out, so many people have died, and you're still thinking its a hoax so you don't get the vaccine?

It's so sad that Covid was used as a political weapon.

Sadly though a lot of people who are antivax have been fed too much misinformation and aren't willing to budge unless its effecting themselves, someone they know or like in this article, It's too late.

I still know people who are antivax and I just can't to anything more to try help.

There was this big racial thing going on with covid and how non-white communities were hit disproportionately harder by the pandemic. Eventually that morphed into people thinking being white alone made you more resistant.
