Lana Del Rey's fitfh studio album Lust for Life turns 4 years old!

lust-for-life.jpg

The album is a mixture of indie pop, hip hop, rock and folk and distinctively features modern trap production on some of the songs. Unlike any other Lana album, the album contains several collaborations. As a concept, the album mirrors in a more positive and optimistic light Lana's first studio album Born To Die.

The album spanned 4 singles - of which two got more than 100M views on Youtube.

The album was loved by critics, which assigned it a respectable meta-score of 77.

i liked it when it first came out

now it's one of my least favorite lana's albums

but the vibe is really nice and some of the songs are great

heroin is a bop

red wine, cheap perfume and a filthy pout

The album tracklist is so weird to me, too many styles mixed but tbh some of my favorite songs are in it. Cherry, Heroin, Change and Get Free.

Dominic

Probably my 2nd fave behind BTD.

I was going through a really difficult time back then and 'Love' really helped me to just get out of bed some days

The hardest thing in this world is to live in it

I love lust for life, it has an eclectic sound that tells a complete story by the end.

Her second best album, second to only Ultraviolence imo! (then Born To Die, then NFR, then Honeymoon, then Paradise, then chemtrails)

Love this album very very very much. I saw the tour in philly and I remember it was the chillest concert I've ever been too, me and my friend just sat the whole time and vibed lol. And the eagles won some important football game next door the night of and you could hear the fans cheering and screaming and rioting in the city from inside the concert venue 😂

How has it been 4 years already?? :deadbanana:

I’ve had a hard time liking the album back then, because it was so different from its flawless predecessor Honeymoon but DAMN I grew to love that album over the past 12 months and it’s probably my most streamed album this year so far

I think it's one of her less cohesive album production wise but it has Heroin on it, which is one of my most favourite LDR songs.

Really like the aesthetics to the album too.

I was at the football game. It was the game that got them into the super bowl.
My dad was at the concert with my sister lmao.

Nowadays most pop albums get scores in the 80s or 90s. 77 is still great but not amazing.

Lana herself had bigger scores (Chemtrails and NFR!).
