But in her case it was just the song/dance/meme, without knowing the artist behind. It must be frustrating as an artist to have your success be out of your hands. Especially if you don’t do it for the coins (which I’m sure she got plenty of now). That’s when you become a one-hit-wonder. It’s just sad that because of TikTok, the artist’s name is easily forgotten or set aside. We all know t.A.T.u, Rick Astley, La Roux, or a-Ha. But we don’t know many of the artists behind Tik Tok songs (especially if the song gets popular there first) The album/tour looks like it was polished with all the $100 bills she got, but will the people show up.. I never thought of it like this. nightadieu 4,531 Posted July 17, 2021 Share Posted July 17, 2021 The production is perfect, the lyrics are brilliant and there is even a LGBT hymn “Johnny Run Away” that talks about issues queer people experience when growing up.
