Remember that Cult had a threesome between Evan Peters, his sister and Colton Haynes that was in the plot only for shock value

It amazes me sometimes when I read about Ryan Murphy shows.

Why do some people need a reason on why a character is LGBT?

I mean, I get why one would want a reason but do we really need one? Can’t a characater just be gay for no reason? Do we ever question a straight character and why he is straight? I agree on the Episode 4 “no homo” bullsh*t. This was indeed pointless. But I don’t think it makes a show unrealistic just because it has a large amount of gay characters.

Yeah, I wouldn't call it a proper rework tho, just some heavy inspiration: the husband being an actor seeking for success, the people plotting against the main character and trying to drive her mad, the devilish figure, the high end setting...

Just like episode 3 and 4 were HEAVILY HEAVILY HEAVILY influenced by other horror movies: Demons, Anguish, Cigarette Burns, Silent Night Deadly Night etc.

Don't get me wrong, I really have nothing against gay characters in shows and movies, but Ryan Murphy overdid this way too much. It feels forced and tired now, and for personal taste I think he should renew his way of writing shows.

nono, i don't think people are against gay characters, i mean AHS is literally a GAY show - this show is for gays and about gays

i suppose Ryan does a lot of queerbaiting and unnecessary provocative and explicit sex scenes with gay characters that has nothing to do with the plot, so a lot of people think that Ryan literally does it to watch free gay p*rn :selena:
