Helxig 45,332 Posted July 13, 2021 Share Posted July 13, 2021 See the problem I have with Tik Tok, and other apps to a smaller degree, is that by having an algorithmic preference set for more attractive and young people to be seen, it's really tainting the youth of today and creating terrible standards. These young people (who lets face it, probably already skate through life because they are attractive and popular) are now being given power and validation that grows their egos to a massive degree, before they even have the life experience to have grown into mature adults who know what to do with that power. They just become abusers so fast because they feel all-powerful and like they can get away with anything. Because they always have, and now they're 'famous' and everyone dotes on them and sucks their asses, and they're rich and powerful, they feel like gods. We need to create some kind of shift in the kinds of people we idolise and give power to. These kinds of people need to be humbled and taught that they are just as responsible for their actions as anyone, and their physical attractiveness does not give them different rights than others. A lot of things have to align perfectly for a pregnancy to happen. (It’s a miracle anyone is ever born.) But this is just disgusting. Imagine the number of STDs he’s likely passing around.
