I was 17 when I started dating my ex and he was 21. Back then I always thought it was no big deal but looking back, it was problematic. There was always a sense of control over me because he was older and thus “knew more than me.”

He helped out with our marching band when I was a freshman in high school and he was 18/19 at the time and told me he always thought I was cute, even back then.

I think u can as long as the age gap is below a certain amount and u reach consenting age which in most jurisdictions is below 18

 

Like for example where i live a 19 year old and a 17 year old would be legal.
