Aside from the crying and emotional moments, what really makes Gaga's performance good in the movie is the relaxed moments where she let's Ally's insecurities out (contrasted to her confidence in La Vie En Rose scene). I think this was one of their first scenes together, and he said that he didn't know what to expect from Gaga, and that scream completely took him off guard and that was his real reaction I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.
