Didn't even watch the video. Just thought it was funny how you were saying people didn't post things that didn't fit their agenda when Jill just posted a very informing comment with an extremely valid argument but just because it goes against what you believe you decided to simply ignore it. You should better watch the video, you're doing the same thing you are critize me. Actually I didn't want to argue with Jill since she wasn't being rude or anything, I don't agree with her in some things that she posted, but I didn't want to sound rude to her. For me is even more difficult to explain things... She is expressing her opinion, but you...Are you hurt because I didn't reacted to your comment or something? Also I'm happy that there's more cover up about all of these. The important thing here is that people know what is happening. and well... it's easy to go against capitalism and neoliberalism when you have all the comfort and you're just watching your smartphone while you're in your comfy home...just saying. But I don't want to turn this thread on a fight at all. Agree to disagree Don't expect this thread to be all fun and flowers when politics is being discussed. It's obviously easier to have these opinions when you're living in a first world country, but that's not the point. The point is being observant enough to conclude that the system in which you live in can be improved. Communism in first world countries differs from communism in third world countries in the same way capitalism does, except that communism was never given the chance to blossom as much as capitalism has blossomed, and thus we cannot see how well it might've worked at a truly global scale. I'm middle class. I live in a first world country. But even in first world countries the system is fvcked. It can be easy for me to defend communism, but I defend it not because it's easy to do so, but because I think it's the best way to alleviate the pain and suffering that the lower classes have under capitalism. It's not as black and white as you suppose it is. Former First Lady of the United States. Now card-carrying member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Good luck to the people of Cuba but from my experience I wouldn't have much hope, governments are very good at shutting people up and remaining in power. chaeri pls
Pennywise 36,080
While I don't live in Cuba and therefore cannot know for sure what is happening, most of what we see on the internet is US-backed imperialistic propaganda, with loads of false information and lots of fake bot accounts. Which is why unless I know that I'm hearing from Cubans (and not the ones who benefit from the US imperialism), I won't believe anything I "see" on the net. If the US cared about Cuba citizens that much, they'd lift the embargo and not simply deal out highly hypocritical sentiments such as "citizens should be able to protest" when they straight up killed some BLM protesters So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted. MsSilvas 14
I'm a bit sad that not too many people is taking interest about Cuba's situation in this forum The result of these events are very important and will have a huge impact in Cuban's lifes.
