Girl, like who do you mean? The comparable females in Billie's league are people like Britney (relevant for many years), Lady Gaga (relevant for many years), Adele (relevant for many years) and Bieber (relevant for many years).

All of them became THE biggest act when they were in their debut era or still considered new. None of them got cancelled. So who is it you're comparing Billie to? Some B-list one hit wonder? That ain't Billie. She literally had the biggest album of 2019 and is undoubtedly the biggest newcomer of the last few years, next to Olivia Rodrigo. 

And then you're saying it'll happen to Olivia like it's a normal thing in the music business. But It's NOT lol. You have to search long to find someone who reached Billie's peak of popularity and commercial success and then flopped in their second era. 

The only one I can think of that comes close is Alanis Morrisette - record-breaking debut album and then an underperforming follow-up.

She's not a Britney/Gaga artist. She's the Gen Z Fiona or Alanis. While she's in vogue, that's cool. But she's going to keep making music how she wants and that's fine.

I’m glad she didn’t make an album to suit the GP. I feel Therefore I Am was supposed to replicate Bad Guy and it was supposed to be THE hit. I’m sure the rest of the album doesn’t have any songs that will be promoted to get a hit.

This could be a case of the Best New Artist curse / Sophmore Slump. It's very much a real thing for artists who instantly explode to the top of the charts with their debut album. 

I remember how thrilling it was to watch Gaga's career do the exact opposite. She kept getting bigger and better from 2008-2011  The power
