I Don't Know What Love Is is the final version of Paradise

I have had this thought for several years that the rumored track "Paradise" that surfaced during the pre-Cheek to Cheek era could have been reworked into what we now know as "I Don't Know What Love Is" on A Star is Born. I remember reading a long time ago that she was trying to write jazz records to incorporate in her Tony/Gaga collaboration. But eventually it was decided as jazz standards only. So the track was lost.

I say this because if you listen to the harmonies in this song, they are the jazziest vocals of the entire score. Plus the chorus's lyrics are:

"I swear I've seen an angel
A PARADISE in blue
Every color I choose
But I don't know what love is
But I think it might be you"

I was looking at the credits of the track, and it is both written and produced by Lady Gaga and Lucas Nelson. I honestly think this is the unreleased track of "Paradise" we've been wondering about. What do you think? 🤔

Interesting theory! I could definitely see this being a jazz song as well.

This is false as Paradise was officially released on Christmas Day 2014, as announced by Admin himself

Honestly though because this would close the coffin on a theory that has boggled my mind for so long.

Paradise is about the phrases Joanne and Gaga’s dad shared before Joanne died, I think it’s just coincidence that the song has Paradise in it unless we’re insinuating Jo told Joanne she was the real love for him

It could be true because the song does sound like it belongs in Cheek to Cheek.
